How do individual registrations work?

Want to register by yourself or with a few friends? No problem!

We welcome all players, especially if you're registering by yourself or with a few friends. We know you may not have a full squad ready to go and that's no problem!

By signing up as an individual, you'll be put onto a team with other individuals and small groups. It's the best way to meet likeminded people and, hey, you may even like your teammates so much you sign up as a full team next season!

How do I get put onto my team?

Once registration closes, we use individual registrations to create individual teams, bringing you together with other players looking to become friends and build connections.

Thousands of individual players play each year and many decide to keep the ride going the next season by signing up as a full team.

I want to play with a group of my friends. How do I do that?

When registering, you'll see the option to Play With Friends. Select that option and you'll be able to create, or join, a small group. If you're the first person in your group of friends to register, create your small group and after you've paid you can invite your friends to join your group.

**NOTE: an invitation does NOT guarantee your friend(s)’ spot in the league/your team. Players must register and pay to get a spot in the league. Your team will consist of your friends and other individuals/small groups who have registered, depending on the league’s max roster size.

What’s the difference between registering as a part of a small group vs. as a Full Team registration?

Being part of a small group simply means that your team will consist of your group of friends and other individuals/small groups, depending on the league’s max roster size. After a few seasons, many individual teams consolidate and register as full teams so they can have complete control of the roster.

In certain cases, an individual team may comprise fewer members than the maximum roster size stated on the league page. However, this is entirely determined by the league’s registration process, not by requests for how the team roster is formed.

Also, we don't add free agents to full teams.

Am I guaranteed a spot on a team after I’m registered?

While some leagues deprioritize individual registrations, we LOVE them. We can’t wait to get you playing.

As long as the league has enough people registered, you're in!

How do I find the right level of competition?

During the sign-up process, we let you pick your level ranging from casual to competitive. The league managers will place you in a division that fits your desired level of competition.

Note that due to the size of some leagues, not every league will have all three competition levels available.

How do I meet my teammates?

After registration closes, our staff will build rosters for your league and you'll be notified.

Once your roster is built, you'll be able to contact other players on your team. Most teams form a group text, but regardless, you'll meet each other at your first game!

Are there other individuals in my league/on my team?

Yup! Our leagues are all built to have several teams comprised of individual and small group registrations..

After I sign up, is there anything else I need to do?

We've got you covered. Once you receive the league confirmation email that verifies you're in the league, you can sit back and let us handle the rest.

Leading up to the season, we'll notify you with all the important information you'll need. This will include the schedule and the team you've been placed onto.

Can I miss a game?

Yes, of course! As much as we’d love to see you out there for your scheduled game, sometimes life happens.

The roster size of individual teams is deliberate as most players have work and social obligations that will take them away from a game or two during the season. Our top priority is ensuring everyone in our community gets to play every week, so we try to build your rosters with some padding to allow a few players to miss a game without the team needing to forfeit or play down a player.

Will I get enough play time?

Our priority is to ensure that everyone in our community can play every week, even if they have work or social commitments that might cause them to miss a game or two. By being intentional about team sizes in the league, we aim to prevent forfeits or the need to play down with fewer players.

Players should be able to work out rotations among themselves since everyone is looking to have a great time playing the sports we love while making connections. If there are any concerns or questions, please refer to your league's rules page, listed on the league page for easy access.

Will we get team shirts?

Yes! If you're on an individual team, we will assign ONE player as the one responsible for receiving and delivering shirts to your team. This player will often be a person who said they were interested in being the team captain when they registered.

The designated person will receive an email close to the start of the season (shortly after their league welcome email arrives), with instructions for placing the team shirt order. Please be sure to check your spam folder! (You can read more about team shirts here.)
